My Story...

After practicing as a licensed professional counselor for over 30 years and thinking I was retired for good in 2009, I have rekindled an old commitment to help women like you. As a spiritual support and wellness coach, my goal is to assist middle-aged women in facilitating change. As an activator of the Divine Feminine Spirit, I see the need to support middle-aged women dealing with the issues of peri-menopause and menopause and beyond that can be disruptive.

I am deeply committed to supporting and leading women like you to find balance and well-being. My aim is to be a constant source of support and guidance as you journey toward empowerment and transformation while dealing with the many changes that midlife presents to women. I will stand by you and encourage you every step of the way as you work through the barrage of blocks and repeated patterns that hold you back and keep you from creating the life you desire.

Part of my program includes Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) – tapping. EFT is interactive, easy to learn, and easy to do independently. EFT allows both client and practitioner to work together while both are tapping at the same time. Tapping disrupts negative energy in the energy system and body and clears a path to uncover in-depth issues in a non-threatening way.

In addition to EFT, I am proficient in Matrix Reimprinting (MR). MR is a technique that takes EFT to a whole other level. It allows the client to tap on their younger self that experienced a trauma. After tapping on the younger self and relieving the trauma’s energy, a new picture can be created and reimprinted into one of empowerment. In so doing, the trauma no longer impacts or influences the client’s life.

My Story Con't...

my early career

My training began with a master’s degree in psychology and a specialty in marriage and family therapy – systems theory.

Early in my career as a psychotherapist, I recognized a missing element that no amount of talking seemed to alleviate. I realized that issues embedded in my client’s energy system and body required a different approach. So, I began exploring energy healing and implemented my new knowledge through hands-on healing within my practice, and later EFT.

Therefore, I trained with The Healing Touch Program, an international, multi-level educational program in energy-based medicine therapy and also EFT with Rob Nelson.

I also studied with Peggy Huddleston, founder of “Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster,” a guide to a mind/body approach to dealing with surgery and other procedures, such as chemotherapy or radiation. This program, supported by research, has shown that it is possible to heal faster through guided imagery, breathing and relaxation techniques, and affirmations. Studies have also shown less bleeding, fewer medications needed, and a faster recovery.

I had a huge “ah-ha moment” in graduate school. The assignment was to write a paper on “how people change.” My thinking was that a topic like this should be assigned closer to the completion of courses.

Since the assignment was a big part of my grade, I started writing. As I wrote, I realized that shifting from unconscious to conscious living is the “key” to change. I was inspired by what Einstein said. “We cannot solve our problems with the same thoughts that created the problems in the first place.” Consequently, awareness leads to information. It’s like a roadmap for us to follow as we find our way out of the depths of our troubles. Being mindful seems simple in some ways, but “oh so difficult a task” that holds the information we need to do life “differently” and THRIVE.

A Bit More About Me

Fun Facts:

  • I love being a grandmother! I have four of these jewels, ages 22 to 12. They are so much fun!
  • I love to watch movies with my twelve-year-old twins. The creativity that goes into making these movies amazes me, and it’s fun to talk with them about who the villain will be and what the hero or heroine has to overcome.
  • I like to read historical fiction and murder mysteries with female heroines, especially those that “kick ass.” I get lost in the books and feel sad when I finish one. I miss the characters.
  • I live in a forest, and my home is like a tree house. I wake up to birds singing. There are many squirrels and chipmunks, and I can’t leave out the pesky raccoons.
  • Painting and sewing help me decompress; believe me, there are times when that is necessary.
  • Singing is also a fun thing that I love doing. I’m blessed to sing with a small group called Voices Rising. I have found that singing brightens my soul.
